Located on a formerly neglected riverbank, the series of structures has risen upon reclaimed land, incorporating shipping containers and locally sourced materials to form a sustainable and flexible workspace solution. The complex is one of few examples in the region that utilizes repurposed shipping containers as primary building blocks, a circular construction method that significantly reduces waste and construction time.
Industrial-chic exteriors seamlessly blend with the urban landscape, forming interconnected office spaces and communal areas that are visually offset by native plantings and restored riverbank ecosystems. Distinguishing elements include green roofs atop the containers, a central atrium space, container-based meeting pods, and a riverside deck from which to observe the ebb and flow of urban life along the water's edge.
Alongside the honest and utilitarian container structures, a material palette comprises reclaimed timber cladding, energy-efficient glazing, living walls, and locally quarried stone for outdoor spaces. The project not only provides flexible workspaces but also aims to revitalize the local ecosystem and foster a sense of community among its occupants.
