We have designed a number of successful restaurants throughout London, including Carousel London and Oklava.

Oklava is situated on the fringes of Shoreditch and is the new home for Selin Kiazim, widely praised for her cooking at pop-ups at Carousel London, Ember Yard and six-months at Trip Kitchen in Haggerston. The proposal comprised of extensive remodelling to a single storey former mill building to accommodate a restaurant and private dining facilities.

The restaurant is a uniquely trapezoidal space enlivened by a threshold framed by an Entrance Screen, comprised of copper mesh and reclaimed copper framed windows, and copper mesh doors housing the selection of Turkish wines. A lively bar and open kitchen provides animation to the restaurant. We designed bespoke copper pendants and black mild steel wall lights to integrate with the architecture. The materials palette was white walls with polished concrete floor and copper and black mild steel elements to enliven the spaces.
